There were four magical looks guaranteed to have
you living happily ever after.
Tinker-shimmer
Fairy-like shimmer can quickly turn
into "Year Three craft project" if you don't follow the golden makeup rule:
less is more. For shimmer highlights concentrate on the high areas of the face
- cheekbones and brow bones - using a
small dome shaped or angled powder brush. You can also dust a little over the lids,
but then put the shimmer down and step away. Far away.

Iridescent Powder, $48.
Red riding lips
Follow the lead of Miss Hood, and you
won't have wolves - but boys - following you around. To find your perfect red,
first know your skin tone. If you have warm undertones (slightly yellow) choose
an orange-based red, and cooler tones (more pinkish) need a blue-based red.

Product: L'Oreal Paris
Colour Riche Star Secrets Lipstick in Penelope, $21.99.
The dark queen
You may not be ready to get as dark
as Snow White's evil queen, but getting back to black is where it's at this
season. The key to any smoky eye is starting small and building the colour from
there. You can always add more, but trying to take it off will cause tears.
Line eyes with a soft kohl first, then add the shadow, starting at the outer
lashline and working up in an arc. Don't add more colour until all is blended,
and always finish with a heavy black mascara.
Magic product: L'Oreal Paris Eye Designer in Grey Black,
$26.99.
Goldi's locks
Porridge eating aside, we'd chase
Goldi down just to steal her hair tips. In fact we did. Just use a medium
barrelled (25mm-32mm) hair tong and sections of hair 3-5cm wide. Wrap
underneath and up to half the hair length, wait 10 seconds then release and
spray with a medium-hold hair spray. The result? Hair that's just right.
