This is a very exciting week in the Girlfriend office with the July issue hitting the stands, not only is the gorgeous Lilly Allen on the cover but there is a great pull-out section - ‘Just Dance', a must read if you have your school ball, or junior dance approaching.

 

Looking through reminds me of my first school ball which may surprise you was only a few years back. From finding the perfect dress to deciding how to wear your hair, the whole process went on for months! Though having two older sisters full of advice made the process a lot easier - making sure I remembered the little things like party feet, lip gloss, finding the perfect accessories, and the list goes on.

 

I was lucky enough to have my year 13 ball on the same night as my 18^th birthday so I could spend the whole night with not only my group of friends but my whole year as well. Definitely the best birthday party I have had! Though I am hoping this birthday is even better as I am now planning my 21^st party and it seems the whole process of getting ready for the ball is happening again - finding the perfect outfit, deciding how I want my make-up done, I will definitely be turning to the Girlfriend crew for advice!
