Rimmel London Style Academy insider tipsHow much makeup should I wear to the roadshow?
Keep it natural, girls! We really want to see your natural beauty shine through! If you really want to wear something, go for a lightweight foundation, a natural shade of eyeshadow, a coating of mascara and a lick of gloss. What are some tips in applying makeup so I don't look like I am wearing any?
Always start with a clean, moisturised face, follow with your favourite Rimmel primer, and ensure you really blend your foundation into the skin. You want to make sure the foundation sits in the skin and not on top of it. Make sure you choose a shade of foundation that complements your natural skin tone and really go for a light touch. Less is more. What colours would you suggest I wear on my eyes and lips?
In terms of colour choice for your eyes, go for neutral shades – you only want to highlight your eyes, so go for light browns, taupes and bronze tones. For the lips, just go for a really natural gloss to keep it fresh. How should I prep my skin before getting ready?
WATER, WATER, WATER. Make sure you drink lots of water in the lead-up to the roadshow. Ensure you continue with your usual daily skincare routine – cleanse, tone and moisturise in the morning and before bed. Dont forget a light exfoliation once a week to keep the skin's surface free from old skin cells that can cause blockage of the pores.
